Following on from the success of Chemical Process was never going to be easy. The latest release Dark Corners takes the MUNKIE sound into a new direction, this album explores the darker reaches of the human pyschie. Looking at why people are like they are, is it just genetic makeup or is it social conditioning? Why some are really gulliable and believe everything they are told without question, but others are just out to make everyones life a misery.
This is, in places a lighter album than the last and with every track a potential single could become a classic.
The follow up album to the well received debut "Progression" from MUNKIE is "Chemical Process". This is a darker, more intellectual affair whilst still retaining some of the characteristics of the debut. It takes a look at human emotions and life from depression (In my darkened room) and sadness (shatter the circles) to love (antidote to strychnine) and courage (cry no more tears). This album will take you on an ambient, "chilled" journey exploring different personalities.
It is a journey through a snapshot in someone's life. It tries to capture the emotions, thoughts and true physicality of the experience through each track. It has been written through personal experiences and in the most from a first person point of view. It is an intelligent, atmospheric mood setter that would not be out of place in a chillout session part of a club, radio programme or used in TV advertising / programmes.
