Dark Corners

From the dark corners of my mind
The real and fake worlds entwine
Mis-shaped shadows lurk in the dark
With spines of steel to pierce my heart

From the dark corners of my mind
Distant voices talk in rhyme
Chatter like old women in a queue
Watching waiting for a window to view

From the dark corners of my mind
I feel nothing, no spirit of any kind
Empty inside and devoid of thought
Need to feel free, space is sought

From the dark corners of my mind
A Secret held that I will never find
Like shards of Glass or Spines of steel
My fragile state of mind is concealed
